Stillness
Description
Original painting · Sacred Stillness Collection · No. 1
This is where the collection begins.
Through an arch carved from light and texture, the sky opens. Blue at the top, dissolving through cream, settling into the softest blush at the horizon before meeting still water below. No drama. No urgency. Only the gradual, unhurried movement of colour into colour — the way light actually behaves when you slow down enough to watch it.
Two birds cross the vast quiet space inside the arch. They are small against all that luminous air. The Islamic geometric pattern surrounding them — raised, textured, present — grounds the infinite in something ancient and familiar.
Stillness is the painting this entire collection was named for. It does not depict peace. It creates it.

Design
Each painting in the Sacred Stillness collection is built around the arch — not as decoration, but as a threshold between the noise of everyday life and a moment of stillness. Surrounding the arch, raised geometric patterns are sculpted by hand before painting begins, quietly inspired by traditional Islamic design. Within the arch, a soft, uncomplicated sky unfolds in layers of oil paint, suspended somewhere between sunrise and sunset. Small birds cross the space as quiet reminders of freedom and perspective. Every piece arrives in a custom gold floater frame, ready to hang.
Care
This is an original oil and sculptural mixed media painting, made to last for generations with proper care.
— Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat or humidity to preserve colour and texture.
— Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid cleaning products, water, or solvents on the painted or textured surface.
— Handle by the frame, not the canvas, when moving or hanging.
— Hang using appropriate hardware for the piece's weight — happy to advise on this per painting if needed.
— Avoid hanging near vents, radiators, or areas with fluctuating temperature.
